History
MAI Family Services was established in 1986 by a group of community leaders who felt that the growing Asian Indian community needed a local organization to provide assistance to families and individuals in need. Since it was formed, MAI Family Services has expanded to offer services to all South Asians in Michigan.

Financial Statements
All services we provide to clients are free of cost to them. MAI Family Services is primarily a volunteer-run organization; services provided by volunteers are performed at no financial costs to MAI Family Services. Therefore, they are not accounted for in the resource allocation. Seventy percent of every dollar donated to MAI Family Services is spent towards services for our clients. Twenty percent is spent on awareness activities, training and community service programs. Ten percent is spent on administrative costs.
